Single frequency lasers, also known as single wavelength lasers, are essentially products that generate light and then are able to modify it, move it, and measure it. Single frequency diode-pumped solid-state laser systems output a single longitudinal mode beam, whilst suppressing other longitudinal modes, which leaves the dominate mode to oscillate.
